‘Fiction’ is the latest release from The xx’s second album Coexist, and its accompanying black-and-white vid sees singer Oliver Sim loitering forlornly in a tropical location, trudging through exotic flora. It’s a hard life.

Earlier this week UK house producer Maya Jane Coles delivered her own version of the track, a mellow groove that injects some summer heat into the cold-as-ice original.

The xx have also finalised the bill for the London leg of their Night + Day festival series, which takes place on 23 June, with Floating Points, Koreless and Jon Hopkins joining confirmed names including Solange, Mount Kimbie and Kindness.
