Sony Music reportedly increased the price of Whitney Houston Best Of album The Ultimate Collection hours after the singer died.

The Guardian reports [via Artrocker] that the label increased the iTunes retail price of the album from £4.99 to £7.99 at 4am on Sunday. Sony have since returned the album – which is currently top of the charts on iTunes – back to its original price.

Houston was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room this weekend, and recent reports suggest that the singer may have drowned in the bath (though TMZ are now reporting that there was not enough water in her lungs to lead to this conclusion, and that a more likely one is a “combination of Xanax and other prescription drugs mixed with alcohol”).
