Jamie Woon’s long, long-awaited second album has finally been announced.

The UK singer and producer, whose debut album Mirrorwriting came out way back in 2011, will release Making Time on November 6 via his long-standing label PMR Records.

The album features contributions from folk singer and guitarist Willy Mason on ‘Celebration’, London singer-songwriter Royce Wood Junior on ‘Lament’ and Robin Hannibal of Rhye and Quadron on the previously unveiled ‘Sharpness’, while co-production across the album comes from Lexxx.

“Each project takes as long as it takes,” said Woon by way of explanation for the record’s long gestation. “It’s quite common for me to start a song and then sit on it for two years before I finish it. I used to feel a lot of guilt about how long things take, but I’ve made peace with that. Part of the reason this record took so long is that I wanted to feel like a new person, releasing a new record.”

After unveiling ‘Sharpness’ and ‘Thunder’ (which aired on Gilles Peterson’s radio show at the weekend), Woon has now given us another taster of the album with a live version of ‘Message’.
