The Head Technician has been busy.

Martin ‘Pye Corner Audio’ Jenkins has lined up a new album on Vancouver-based label More Than Human. Prowler follows soon after his tape of analogue dance cuts for Ecstatic Recordings and offers seven tracks of “eerie beatless acidy squelch”, according to Norman Records.

Prowler is limited to 500 copies and arrives on vinyl on November 20 and digitally on December 11. Stream ‘She Hunts At Night’ and ‘Decade Counter’ below.

In the meantime, Jenkins has also worked his magic on ‘Apparition’, the latest single from ace Liverpool psych-pop trio Stealing Sheep, shading its brightly lit melodies with brooding banks of sci-fi synths. The band think it sounds like “if John Carpenter had set a film in a warehouse in the UK at precisely 3.29am in the date range of 1991- 1993. It’s as if you are being silently stalked by a ski-masked slasher just waiting for the dry ice to clear.”

Stream PCA’s remix of ‘Apparition’ below and check out director Dougal Wilson’s witty video for the original track. Stealing Sheep are on tour right now too – check their website for dates.
