Stormzy will make his acting debut in Noel Clarke’s next film.

Brotherhood is the third instalment in a trilogy that began with Kidulthood in 2006, followed by 2008’s Adulthood. The film will see the grime MC star alongside Clarke, who returns as Sam, the west London gangster hunted down by his murder victim’s family in Adulthood. Filming began this month, but plot details are still under wraps.

The previous films launched Clarke’s career as a screenwriter and actor and brought grime to the big screen through soundtracks that included Wiley, Dizzee Rascal and Lethal Bizzle. Clarke returns in the director’s chair for Brotherhood, which is set to premiere in 2016.

Meanwhile, Stormzy has just capped his biggest year with the launch of his own show on Beats 1 and another big single, ‘Standard’. [via ScreenDaily]
