Sony unveils PS-HX500 hi-res turntable

By , Jan 6 2016

Sony enters the vinyl resurgence.

It’s not just Technics that unveiled a new turntable at CES 2016 – Sony has also revealed its own vinyl record player at the consumer electronics tradeshow.

The PS-HX500 is described as a “hi-res turntable,” which means it allows users to rip analog recordings to Sony’s proprietary high-resolution DSD audio or 24-bit WAV formats.

You can watch Sony’s demo below to get a closer look at it and find it on sale this spring.
