Martin Shkreli has been swindled out of $15 million after attempting to buy Kanye West’s new album The Life of Pablo, the millionaire pharmeceutical investor claims.

Shkreli was attempting to repeat the stunt he pulled last year when he purchased Wu-Tang Clan’s edition-of-one album, Once Upon A Time in Shaolin, for $2 million in the midst of his public shaming for raising the price of a vital drug by 5,000%.

A copy of a letter from Shkreli to Kanye’s team on Saturday revealed that the investor had increased his bid by 50% to $15 million for the exclusive rights to T.L.O.P.

Hours later, however, Shkreli’s saga took another bizarre turn when he announced he had been defrauded of the money by someone claiming to be from Kanye’s camp.

Shkreli tweeted: “SOMEONE NAMED DAQUAN SAID HE WAS KANYES BOY AND I SIGND THE DEAL TO BUY PALBO AND SENT THE BITCOIN. CALL THE POLICE THIS IS BULSHIT”.

He then set up a video chat inviting people to join in his pursuit of the missing money like some miserable millennial Scooby Doo adventure.

Several hours later he moaned about the “pain and suffering” he’s had to go through and claimed that Bitcoin creator Sitoshi would help him get his money back.

Given Shkreli’s unswerving commitment to the dark arts of trolling in recent months, which led him to record a diss video about Ghostface Killah and threaten to destroy the Wu-Tang album, our bullshit detector is firmly in the red for now.

Shkreli is also dealing with a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by a Wu-Tang fan artist this week.
