The experimental wanderer hints at the new direction of his upcoming album

James Ferraro is moving into new territories on his upcoming album Human Story 3 judging from the first single ‘Ten Songs For Humanity’. The track opens the release and suggests a distinct new tone for the 10 to follow it, an unpredictability that has always made Ferraro’s satisfyingly restless career so rewarding.

If last year’s SKID ROW carried on the bleak, urban fantasias laid out by the industrial hip-hop soundscapes on NYC HELL 3AM, ‘Ten Songs For Humanity’ suggests a gentler, brighter vision than Ferraro’s delivered in years. The track flutters on regally arranged horns and soars on a stunning choir, with the occasional digital blip and blurted AI-voice to remind us this comes from the hyperreal designer behind Far Side Virtual.

It’s a drastic and exciting new direction. Listen to it below and grab Human Story 3 starting June 14 via Ferraro’s Bandcamp.
