One step beyond.

At Kanye West’s Philips Arena show in Atlanta last night (September 12), one fan attempted to do what many others had probably been considering – climb Kanye’s impressive floating stage.

During West’s performance of ‘Power’, the plucky gig-goer used every ounce of arm muscle strength to try and hoist himself up onto the platform, only to fall back into the crowd as the disapproving rapper waves him off mid-dangle.

At the end of last month, Kanye sat down to explain the inspiration behind the Saint Pablo stage show, which finishes up in LA on November 1. West said that he and his team spent about 8 months planning the show, meeting and recruiting the best stage designers they could find.

“I want people to have a fun time, make it not be just about watching the artist,” he explained, saying that the design should let people focus more on their own experience of the show.
