Threatens to play “Public Enemy and Stockhausen remixes to entertain the Republicans.”

Trump’s repeated failure to find performers for his inauguration ball has kept us entertained for the past few weeks, but this is the best one yet. Despite Moby‘s scathing dislike for the president-elect, who he has called “an actual sociopath,” the ‘Porcelain’ artist has been asked to appear at the ball later this month.

Moby revealed on Instagram yesterday (January 9) that a booking agent approached him to see whether he would like to DJ the event, despite his noted support of Hillary Clinton and very obvious aversion to Trump. He jokingly said he would DJ the ball “if as payment Trump released his tax returns.”

“Also, I would probably play Public Enemy and Stockhausen remixes to entertain the Republicans,” he added.

Obviously, Moby turned down the ludicrous offer – but not without having a bit of fun with it first and making an inauguration playlist, prompted by Billboard. Listen to the protest music-inspired playlist below, which includes Public Enemy, Kendrick Lamar and Neil Young.
