The godfather of grime’s latest career move is to follow previous number one attempt ‘Take That’ (which was horrendous) with a cover of White Town’s cult pop-noir classic ‘Never be your Woman’ (which is – like the original – very good).

On today’s Daily Download, Cheap Thrills boss Herve gets busy with a surprisingly toned down re-edit of the tune, and it’s this version that’s been the FACT DJs’ version of choice when playing out lately. Can you get a bigger recommendation than that? Well, yes, obviously. But it’s still good.

‘Never Be Your Woman’ is out on February 28 via Virgin / Relentless.
