MIA has been announced as headliner for the 2010 Underage Festival, which takes place at Victoria Park in East London on Sunday 1 August.

The ever-provocative MC will appear in support of her eagerly-awaited third album, which she’s been working on in the US with a number of different producers (including Diplo and Blaqstarr).

Also on the bill is Sound of 2010 poll-winner Ellie Goulding, New Young Pony Club, Lightspeed Champion, Egyptian Hip-Hop and Gold Panda.

Caspa (feat. MC Rod Azlan), Tinchy Stryder and Chase & Status will appear as part of an Annie Mac presents showcase.

Late of The Pier Soundsystem – “an exciting new project” from LOTP, presumably DJ-oriented, will also play at the festival.

Tickets are priced at £29.50 and are available to buy here. As ever, entry to the Underage Festival is restricted to under-19s.
