Unsound in Krakow is already looking like one of the best festivals taking place in Europe this year. Now they’ve only gone and added bloody Goblin to the line-up…

The legendary Italian group will be appearing with original members Claudio Simonetti, Massimo Morante and Maurizio Guarini – it’s the first time that Simonetti has performed with the band for many years. Best known for the eerie, electronics-inflected soundtracks they created for Dario Argento and George A. Romero’s iconic horror flicks, among them Profondo Rosso, Suspiria and Dawn Of The Dead.

The show will include visuals from Dario Argento movies, “to be re-mixed live by a Norwegian visual artist soon to be announced”. It’s a perfect booking for Unsound, which is this year themed around “Horror – The Pleasure of Fear and Unease”. Other artists performing at the festival include The Moritz von Oswald Trio, Shackleton, James Blake, Oni Ayhun and Mordant Music. More info here, and visit the festival’s official site here. Unsound 2010 takes place over the period October 17-24.
