Here’s the deal if you didn’t know already: the line-up for Unsound 2010 in Poland is arguably the best of any festival taking place this year.

Festival organisers have just added several more impressive names to the bill of artists appearing across various venues in Krakow, October 17-24. Erstwhile Stereolab singer Laetitia Sadier will perform songs from her upcoming solo album, The Trip, and enigmatic dream-pop duo Wildbirds & Peacedrums are scheduled to perform in a 16th century church with the Schola Cantorum Reykjavik Chamber Choir and Krakow’s Octava Ensemble, arranged by Hildur Gudnadottir.

Romanian house producer Petre Inspirescu bolsters the festival’s dance music spread, as does Dorian Concept, Detroit techno stalwart Mike Huckaby and London grime producer Terror Danjah. Lustmord, the Welsh sound artist who has been operating at the vanguard of sound-art, ambient, doom and industrial music since the 1980s, will perform live for the first time in almost 30 years – quite a coup, and the perfect embodiment of the festival’s ‘horror’ theme for 2010. Mice Parade, Silje Nes, Eleven Tigers and Supra1 are the other latest bookings.

The above artists join the likes of Ben Frost, Actress, Joy Orbison, Tim Hecker, Shining, Oni Ayhun, Shackleton, Demdike Stare, Emeralds, Goblin, Kyle Hall, Oneohtrix Point Never,  James Blake, Lustmord, Mount Kimbie, Shackleton and Zombie Zombie in a celebration of experimental and electronic music with no obvious contemporary equal.
