Shapeshifting Baltimore producer Blaqstarr is gearing up to drop a new mixtape called, wait for it, Blaqstarr – The Mixtape.

Due to be released on April 12 via blaqstarrmusic.com, it showcases the breadth and versatility of Blaq’s studio work, and boasts guest appearances from M.I.A., Diplo, Switch, Shanell, Rye Rye, Steve Aoki and Mos Def. The Def-featuring ‘Kiss Me On My Lips’ is available now – stream it via the below Soundcloud player and download via the UserShare link below that. A departure from the full-pelt B-more club sound for which the producer’s best known, it finds him auto-tuning and chopping the rapper’s laconic phrasing across a rugged, reassuringly bass-heavy hip-hop bump.
