The first line-up announcement for the 2011 Big Chill festival has been made.

Leading the pack is Kanye West, still riding high on the critical and commercial success of last year’s album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. He’ll be headlining the Big Chill’s main Deer Park stage on Saturday 6 August in what will be his only UK festival appearance of the summer.

Headlining the Deer Park the previous night will be The Chemical Brothers, as part of their sonically and visually spectacular Further tour. Latin-tinged folk sensations Rodrigo y Gabriela are the main act on the festival’s closing night, Sunday 7 August.

Other notable acts announced so far include Flying Lotus (live), xxxy, Scuba, Lil Silva, Buraka Som Sistema, Four Tet, Jamie xx, Global Communication (DJ set), Neneh Cherry, Wild Beasts, Electrelane, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Janelle Monae, Jessie J, Warpaint, Robert Plant & The Band of Joy, Femi Kuti & The Positive Force, About Group, Steel Pulse, Hercules & Love Affair, Horace Andy, Calvin Harris, Example, Katy B, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Mulatu Astatke & The Black Jesus Experience and Jamie Woon.

The Big Chill 2011 takes place at Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire, UK, on August 4-7. For more information, tickets and the complete line-up so far, click here.
