Dutch producer Icicle will curate the latest edition in Rinse’s series of mix CDs.

Icicle’s bass-centric back catalog darts all over the shop: from his initial work as a drum’n’bass producer through to his more dubstep-indebeted material, he’s made a virtue of panning around for new sounds. That same eclecticism is to be showcased on Rinse: 19, due out on April 30. Icicle currently hosts the station’s Shogun Audio show, and the mix will see him exploring the darker crannies of contemporary dance music.

Looking at the tracklist, there’s plenty of original Icicle material to look forward to, along with cuts from Rockwell, Proxima and Sabre. The label promise “the sound of the urban environment, tied deeply to the darkness, pressure and steely intensity of drum and bass”.
