A fascinating roster of experimental musicians will be touching down in Bexhill-On-Sea in June for a free event on June 9.

Titled We Can Elude Control, the showcase will be curated by Emptyset’s Paul Purgas, and will take place at the De La Warr Pavilion. The Quietus report that Throbbing Gristle legends Carter Tutti are at the top of the bill. Currently enjoying renewed interest off the back of their excellent collaboration with Nik Colk Void, the pair will present a live ‘remix’ of TG’s upcoming Desertshore project. As with their recent AV Festival performance at the Tyneside Cinema, the pair will reorder pre-existing sketches from their Nico covers project into new shapes.

Cross-media artist Russell Haswell will also be appearing. Having previously collaborated with the likes of Aphex Twin, Florian Hecker and Popol Vuh, Haswell will bring a wealth of experience to his digital performance. Napalm Death singer Nicholas Bullen will round out the bill. The event will mark the end of the venue’s Cerith Wyn Evans exhibition; for more information, head to the event’s website.
