Qu Junktions have assembled some of Hackney’s boldest musical talents for an event in May.

Haggerston spot Power Lunches will played host to Ralph Cumbers, aka Bass Clef. With his latest effort Reeling Skullways garnering him more attention than ever before, Cumbers is undoubtedly on the ascendent. Whether he’s tinkering around with a sampler under his Coseph Jonrad moniker or collaborating with Ekoplekz as Ekoclef, the trombonist-cum-producer is invariably an inquisitive musical presence.

He’ll be joined by Hackney residents Raime. The chthonic pair explore the shadier enclaves of contemporary electronica. Their DJ set will no doubt veer off-piste, but expect an emphasis on sounds dark and frequencies deep. Bristol synth manufacturer Bugs will performing a rare live set using his own hand-crafted keyboards. Ralph LTF from Wifey LDN will round out the bill with a DJ set.

The night runs from 8.00pm until 2.00am on May 18. Tickets and further information are available from the Qu Junktions website.
