Quiet Village combines the respective talents of prolific producer Matt Edwards (aka Rekid/Radio Slave) and veteran digger Joel Martin.

Their 2008 Silent Movie LP was a charming little curio, a collection of pseudo-exotica conceived in homage to the likes of Morricone and Mancini. The pair have continued to collaborate under the (markedly less rustic) Maxxi & Zeus handle, releasing 2010’s slinky ‘The Cell’ single through International Feel.

Resident Advisor report that Quiet Village are now set to have their remix work collected on a new compilation. Too High To Move: Remixed With Love By Maxxi & Zeus will showcase ten remixes by the pair. Visitors to the Quiet Village include Francois K, Toby Tobias and Bubble Club. The record is due on the Pyramids Of Mars, a sub-label of Edwards’ Rekids imprint.
