Update: FACT now have a pair of tickets to the night to give away. The lucky winner will also bag a copy of BNJMN’s recent Unknown 2 12″ for Rush Hour, plus a copy of his 2011 album Black Squares. To win the haul, send an email through to competitions@thevinylfactory.com, including your name and the words ‘Electric Minds’ in the title field.
Electric Minds have assembled a fancy roster for their latest outdoors day-thru-night party on June 30.
Frank Wiedemann and Kristian Beyer, aka Âme, top the bill. The German double act have ten years of service, oodles of 12″s, and one absolute classic (‘Rej’) under their belts. The tech house pair are seasoned DJs – whichever of the two turns up should prove a safe pair of hands. BNJMN, the man behind the Singing Statues and Jackhigh aliases, will also be airing his subtle, analogue take on techno. Black Square in particular showed a sensitive musical mind, and he’ll no doubt plan his live set with a similar degree of care and grace.
Prodgious house producer/classical composer Sven Weisemann will applying his fantastically alert mind to the task at hand. Kowton, riding high off the back of the excellent ‘More Games’, will be spinning, as will Electric Minds string-puller Dolan Bergin. Namedrop and Badpassion will be providing support.
The event runs from 2.00pm until 6.00am. Further information is available here.
