Pop rockers The Soft Pack are back with a follow-up to 2010’s self-titled debut.

After two and a half years of straight touring, The Soft Pack used a well-earned vacation to recover and recharge. Opting to self-produce Strapped, the band experimented with expanding their sound, eventually whittling 80 demo ideas down into 12 songs. The Soft Pack promises the same straight ahead, fuzzed out rock of earlier efforts, but also cite revered songwriters like Carole King and Elton John among recent influences.

Strapped is due on October 1 on Mexican Summer. In the meantime, check out the sun-soaked lead track ‘Saratoga.’
