Busta Rhymes, fresh from having briefly reunited with old muckers Leaders Of The New School, has revealed that his next album will be given away for free.

The rambunctious New York MC signed to Young Money at the tail end of 2011, and, bar the showstopping ‘Why Stop Now’, he’s been pretty much ensconced in the engine room ever since. According to HipHopDX, Rhymes has now revealed some fresh details about forthcoming LP Year Of The Dragon. The album will be released gratis through Google Play, and is set to arrive in August.

Year Of The Dragon has a cast list as long as your arm: Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Trey Songz and Anthony Hamilton are among the brace of guests. As Busta is keen to clarify, the album is nothing to do with YMCMB: “The Year of the Dragon album, just so everybody knows, is not my Cash Money debut, my YMCMB debut. This is my Google album and this is going to be given to everybody for free. And the reason why we decided to give it to everybody for free is because number one, Google Play is where the album is going to be available. So when it drops, we drop it in the second week of August, you’re going to get a date in the next couple of days, it’s important that you go there to get it because that’s the only place where it’s going to be for free.”

In case you want to frazzle your retinas all over again, the video for ‘Why Stop Now’ is below.
