San Francisco’s preeminent club night is getting into the record business.

The club night run by Ghosts on Tape [above], Rollie Fingers, Low Limit, and XLR8R editor Shawn Reynaldo has hosted the brightest names in the underground dance world for nearly three years. Now the collective follows like-minded trailblazers Night Slugs in transitioning their club night into a record label.

The first release on Icee Hot Records will be ‘Nature’s Law / No Go’ by resident Ghosts on Tape, a.k.a. Red Bull Music Academy grad Ryan Merry. His first release in three years finds Merry foregoing tropical bass for an exploration of classic house and techno sounds. Preview the release below, which drops on September 17.

Also in the works for the label are release by Grown Folk, Contakt, and both members of Lazer Sword (Low Limit and Lando Kal). Tonight’s Icee Hot features John Talabot. [via XLR8R]
