Stream Rihanna's new single 'Diamonds'; singer may defend Chris Brown in court

Rihanna has dropped a new single, the shuffling ‘Diamonds’.

As recently promised by the singer, ‘Diamonds’ – produced by serial hitmakers Stargate and Benny Blanco, and written by Australian singer/songwriter Sia – is available to stream on Rihanna7.com – though the site appears to have gone down, so those eager to hear are advised to head to use the radio rip below [via PopJustice].

In other Rihanna news, reports are circulating that she may defend ex-boyfriend Chris Brown at his forthcoming court hearing. News broke earlier this week that Brown – who infamously assaulted Rihanna, ending their relationship – had tested positive for cannabis while doing community service for his role in said assault, back in June. A date of November 1 has been set for the hearing, which will decide whether Brown violated his probation in terms of drug use, travel restrictions and whether his community service was fulfilled.

Radar Online claim to have knowledge from a source that ”Rihanna has spoken to Chris since his progress reporting hearing on Monday afternoon and offered her continued support. Rihanna told Chris she would go to court on November 1 for his court appearance and tell Judge Patricia Schnegg that she shouldn’t set a hearing to decide if he violated terms of his probation because he has accepted responsibility for his actions and has apologised to RiRi on multiple occasions.

”Rihanna would also tell the judge that Chris isn’t the same person now, as he was on that fateful night when he assaulted her.”

Take that for what you will. ‘Diamonds’ is the first single from Rihanna’s upcoming and as-yet-untiled seventh album, the follow up to last year’s Talk That Talk.
