For years, DOOM – formally MF Doom – has enjoyed a reputation as not just one of hip-hop’s best lyricists, but as one of music’s most controversial live performers.
Seeing DOOM live can lead to more questions than it does answers, and they usually revolve around whether the performer you’ve witnessed actually was DOOM. Still, he usually shows up for the big gigs, and this weekend’s London show – presented by Soundcrash at Shoreditch’s Village Underground with support from the recently FACT-featured Thunderbird Gerard and UK hip-hop reliables Rodney P, Yungun and Mr. Thing – looks large to us.
DOOM, of course, is currently London-based – he opened up about his relocation away from his family and more in a recent interview with FACT – and if you want to see him live in his temporary hometown, then you’re in luck. We’ve got a pair of VIP tickets to give away – to be in the draw to win, either sign up to FACT’s weekly newsletter or share this post on Twitter or Facebook. The winner will be notified on Wednesday evening.
