Here’s another ghoulish October 31 gift, courtesy of acid lover Funkineven. 

In contrast to the spangly pop jam ‘Phoneline’, ‘Dracula’ – originally previewed early last month in snippet form – sees the Eglo regular revisiting the same territory as last year’s great acid pastiche ‘Rolands Jam’. Over shredding hi-hats, Funkineven lets loose the sort bassline Fischerspooner wouldn’t turn their noses up at, and the results will get those goose-pimples standing to attention. The video meanwhile, is all bloody reds and sinister camera angles – definitely more Nosferatu than Twilight.

‘Dracula’/’Cha’ drops on Funkineven’s own Apron Records today (on red vinyl, naturally).
