You know the drill by now: immaculate artwork, ghoulish touches and an emphasis on the low-end are the order of the day.

Since their 2010 debut release for Mala’s Deep Medi Musik label, enigmatic production ensemble Old Apparatus have snuck out a fascinating set of releases, borrowing carefully from industrial, shoegaze, techno and ambient musics.

Their 2012 EP series on their own Sullen Town imprint has been particularly impressive. Realise, credited to LTO, was a heady collection of stately electronica. A. Levitas’ Alfur, meanwhile, showed a more slightly more playful side to collective, nodding towards S. Maharba’s strand of clotted hip-hop.

As Juno Plus report, the final instalment in the series is now on the way. Harem arrives, rather neatly, courtesy of the crew member Harem , and showcases the outfit at their gloomiest; the press release promises “the most haunted of the records they’ve done”, heavy on heady timbres and forbidding atmospherics.

Harem is due on 12″ and digital  on November 19 through Sullen Tone. Alfur highlight ‘Lingle’ is below.
