A quintessential Detroit producer will launch his Reduction label with a trio of tracks.

Terrence Dixon (under the Population One alias) will release the A Simpler Form 12″ in February 2013. As Juno Plus points out, Dixon had a particularly prolific year, with original and reissued material on Thema, Knotweed Records, Delsin, Rush Hour, Harbour City Sorrow and Chronicle, including his album-of-the-year contender From The Far Future Pt. 2.

It’s not clear yet if Reduction will be home to just Dixon’s productions or his contemporaries as well. Juno Plus says that Dixon is currently working on a live show, but admitted that it was “one or two years” away from hitting the road.
