Help the Based God play the “Gig of a Lifetime.”

As Pitchfork reports, CBS and the Grammys have launched a contest called The Gig of a Lifetime “to give aspiring musicians across the country the chance to perform in front of a live audience during GRAMMY Live, three days of live coverage and events leading up to Music’s Biggest Night.”

While last year’s winner was Marietta, Georgia’s Almost Kings, there’s a chance for this year’s Gig of a Lifetime winner to have a considerably higher profile: among the Pacific region of nominees is über-prolific California rapper Lil B.

Voting began on January 10, which leaves just over a day remaining in the first round of voting. After that, regional finalists will compete in the second round from January 17 to January 24, with the winner announced on January 29. The Grammy Awards take place on February 10; the nominee list has a few surprises this year.

Head over to Facebook to vote for Lil B (or any of the other nominees, we suppose), and check out the video for ‘I Love You’, his self-proclaimed “most honest/touching video of 2013.”
