Scottish DJ duo Optimo have been given a regular show on London station Rinse FM. 

Semi-infamous for its “destroy and rebuild” approach to line-up changes, Rinse has undergone a series of schedule adjustments in the last two months, with house label Hypercolour, recent Fabric mixer Daniel Avery and others given regular slots.

Optimo’s arrival might mark the biggest surprise of this current run of additions, but it’s also arguably the most welcome: JD Twitch [left] and JG Wilkies [right] ran an fantastic, anything goes Sunday night party at Glasgow’s Sub Club from 1997 to 2010, and have released CD compilations for Domino (Sleepwalk), Fabric (Fabric 52) and more in their time – there’s also an excellent Optimo session in FACT’s own mix archives.

Optimo’s first Rinse show takes starts on February 11, and will run once a month from then.
