Probably best known for Lil Wayne’s club destroying ‘A Milli’ and ‘6 Ft 7 Ft’, producer Bangladesh has put together a patchwork of  his high profile productions, skits and collaborations with Ponzi Scheme.

With guest spots from Brandy, Pusha T, Future, 2 Chainz, Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, Trinidad James and more, Bangladesh certainly has the vocal side sorted, but it’s his instantly recognizable bass-heavy minimalism that is Ponzi Scheme‘s biggest selling point. From the eerily discordant charm of Rihanna’s ‘Cockiness’ to the cheap synths ‘n dusty drums of ‘Ray Charles’, there’s enough proof on here to prove Bangladesh isn’t simply a one-trick pony, and while he might have a habit of repeating the ‘A Milli’ formula a little too frequently, it still somehow manages to work in his favour.

Maybe this is simply because Ponzi Scheme such a refreshing change of pace from the pop maximalism that’s infecting the charts right now (just listen to Brandy’s gorgeous ‘So Sick’), but we think it’s likely down to the subtle choices the producer makes; come on who else is sampling crackly 78s and making rap beats out of them?
