Hanson Records, the label run by Noise figurehead Aaron Dilloway, has digitised and uploaded a stack of classic records.

Since the mid-1990s, Hanson has played host to some of the Noise scene’s biggest hitters and crossover successes, with Emeralds, Wolf Eyes, Prurient and Kevin Drumm all filing releases for the label. As Ad Hoc report, Dilloway has digitised a clutch of Hanson Records releases, most of which were previously only available on CDR, tape, or in relatively insalubrious corners of the internet.

Although not a comprehensive survey of the label, it’s still a marvellous collection of 35-odd albums’ worth of material. Choice picks include: Dilloway’s 2001 collaboration with Kevin Drumm, I Drink Your Skin; Obedience Cuts, a scabrous cut-n’paste exercise from the recently reactivated Hair Police; Emeralds’ debut LP Solar Bridge; and a collection of EVP experiments from Dilloway’s Pearl Drills project. Dilloway’s 2012 masterpiece Modern Jester is also included, as is a brand new album, Siena.
