The in-demand producer opens up about his recent collaboration with Mrs. Knowles-Carter.

Beyoncé’s ‘Bow Down / I Been On’ landed over the weekend, subsequently (and predictably) dominating the week’s music news. While much of that coverage has focused on Beyoncé’s aggressive “bow down, bitches” chorus, the operatic, trap-rap beat certainly came as a surprise.

In the video above, Hit-Boy (who claims responsibility for the entirety of ‘Bow Down’) breaks down the layers of his production. ‘Bow Down’ looks like it will be the latest in a string of his namesake hits, following ‘Niggas in Paris’, ‘Clique’, Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Backseat Freestyle’, and (to a lesser extent) A$AP Rocky’s ‘Goldie’. Meanwhile, Hit-Boy’s All I’ve Ever Dreamed Of dropped last week.
