Arrest warrant issued for allegedly-dead rapper Tim Dog

The bizarre case takes an even crazier turn.

Last week, Memphis’ News Channel 13 WREG reported that Tim Dog (real name Timothy Blair) may have faked his own death, possibly to avoid court-ordered repayments following a 2011 fraud case. Blair allegedly died from a diabetes-related seizure in February, but WREG’s investigation found no evidence of a death certificate.

Now, WREG reports that Desoto County, Mississippi prosecutor Steven Jubera, who convicted Blair in the 2011 case, has filed a petition with a judge to have Blair’s probation revoked.

“I need proof… I need a death certificate showing that’s he’s dead because as far as I’m concerned, he’s alive,” said Jubera. “Nobody said where he died, nobody said where he was buried, which is very odd for an obituary.”

Ultramagnetic MCs producer Ced-Gee, a colleague of Blair’s, tells WREG that he refused to speak at the funeral because the Blair family could not produce a death certificate; he believes the funeral never actually happened. Watch the report below; we’re sure this isn’t the last we’ve heard of this case.
