NY house mainstay Elbee Bad signs up for debut 12" from new label Basement Floor Records

Lamont Brooker – aka New York house music mainstay Elbee Bad – will help new label Basement Floor Records get off to a running start with a new 12″.

Brooker is one of the key figures in the city’s house scene circa the Nu Groove years, moving in similar circles (and record boxes) to the Burrell Brothers. After some decades of relative critical neglect, the LaRhon boss had a well-earned moment in the sun last year with Rush Hour’s corking Elbee Bad: The Prince Of Dance Music – The True Story Of House Music primer.

Brooker has now signed up to provide the debut release on a new label, Basement Floor Records. The imprint – a project from NY duo Soul 2 Seoul – will whirr into gear with ‘These Mutha Fukin DJs (Club Mixx)’/’Never’ late next month. Trading as ‘elBee BaD vs. L.B. Good’, Brooker provides two new slabs of classy house. The flip, meanwhile, is handled by unknown quantity Line Cook, who delivers two cuts.

‘These Mutha Fukin DJs (Club Mixx)’/’Never’ will drop on July 30.

Tracklist:
A1. eLBee BaD vs. L.B. GooD – These Mutha Fukin Djs (Club Mixx)
A2. eLBee BaD vs. L.B. GooD – Tracks Drop

B2. Line Cook – Zero
