Do you like drugs?

R&B crooner Miguel was arrested this morning in L.A. for driving under the influence. The singer, who earlier this year released the excellent Mariah Carey-collaboration ‘Beautiful‘ was pulled over by police officers for speeding, but on investigating closer the officers realized the singer smelled strongly of alcohol.

After failing a field sobriety test and then a breathalyzer test, Miguel was carted off to a police station before being released later on $5,000 bail. According to TMZ, his court hearing will be some time in November.

It’s not been a brilliant year for the singer so far, with this controversy coming only weeks after the much publicized leg drop incident, which still doesn’t appear to have been properly resolved. [via Pitchfork]
