A clutch of Warp artists will appear in person and by proxy at a free night of performances and installations at Tate Britain. 

The free Late At Tate show, set to take place on Friday December 6, will feature a string of installations soundtracked by banner Warp artists. Oneohtrix Point Never‘s music will feature in a piece called Melancholy, Hudson Mohawke will cover sound duty on Summers Of Love, and Rustie‘s work will soundtrack a piece called Rave.

All the works are inspired by Jeremy Deller‘s 1998 artwork The History Of The World – a spider diagram plotting the hidden correspondences between British brass band culture and acid house. As it happens, the Turner Prize-winning artist will be reactivating his seminal 1997 work Acid Brass – which saw him recruit traditional brass bands to play arrangements of house and techno floor-fillers – live on the night. He’ll be joined on the bill by Kaleidoscope boss (and, it appears, new Warp signing) patten, who’ll be presenting a live A/V show of frazzled electronics with a shoegazy bent.

Other events include a “tribute to the 808 and the 303” and further pieces from Deller. The event will run from 6.30pm until 10.00pm, and all ages are welcome. Head here for more information.
