Mary Anne Hobbs’ Sunday morning BBC Radio 6Music show featured a neat surprise – fresh music from SBTRKT.

The track, ‘Hold The Line’, arrived with an explicatory note from the producer, read out on air by Hobbs:

“These tracks will form a collection of vinyl 12″s before my next album and its singles, maybe a digital release, too. They’ll be out in a couple of months. All instrumental stuff along the lines of the music I put out on RAMP or the early Young Turks releases, transitioning between my last album and the next one.”

Last month, SBTRKT dropped a new Jessie Ware collab, ‘Runaway’. It’s been some time since he graced us with an album: his last full-length was 2011’s breakout success SBTRKT, although he released a live album midway through last year.
