OK, it’s probably not – this happened, after all – but this short set from what appears to be a DJ competition at Sweden’s Dreamhack festival has to be down there.

The music (and the fact that the contestant does absolutely nothing with it) is bad enough, but what’s really going to stay with us are the hand motions. The raised arms are limp from the start, but with every non-reaction from the crowd and the unimpressed panel of judges, those rave hands believe in themselves less and less, and by the end we’re witnessing a broken man falling to pieces in front of thousands – an EDM contest version of John Terry in Moscow, but without the past glories to fall back on.
