bis-4.28.2014

It’s been over a decade since Glaswegian pop trio bis last offered up a full-length, and they return next month with data Panik etcetera.

After the release of 2001’s under-appreciated Return to Central the band attempted to pen a fourth album, and even changed their name to Data Panik before disbanding entirely. Now re-formed they have collected up the material and stitched it together into an actual bona fide fourth bis album, and while the songs aren’t entirely new, they serve as a good reminder of why we cared in the first place.

If you’ve got a soft spot for chirpy pop-punk with electro tendencies, and still have fond memories of the days of day-glo 7″s (pre-Record Store Day) and hand-stapled fanzines then you might be in for a treat.

You can stream data Panik etcetera in full below. It’s due for release on May 5 via Do Yourself In Records. [via Stereogum]
