Even though he’s behind bars, Atlanta’s trap deity Gucci Mane is still making sure that 1017 Brick Squad releases are coming thick and fast.
Via a muffled phone recording (which you can hear below), Gucci announced today that he would be releasing a slew of albums this month from some of Brick Squad’s most competent spitters. On June 17, the label will drop the ambitious World War 3D trilogy, which includes three full-length mixtapes.
It will be comprised of The Purple Album from Young Thug, The Green Album from Migos and The White Album from PeeWee Longway, and production will be handled by 808 Mafia, Mike Will Made It, Metro Boomin, C4, Sonny Digital, Honorable C-Note and more.
Gucci’s announcement doesn’t end there either, he’ll also be dropping two of his own tapes – Trap House 4 on July 4 and Trap God 3 on September 13. We’re gonna go ahead and bet that Gucci’s vocal contributions were recorded some time ago, as his sentence is due to be passed out on July 28, and after pleading guilty to gun possession last month, he could be locked up for up to three years.
