A forgotten classic by the Chicago house veteran.

The Clone Jack for Daze series has been a reliable source of Chicago jacking house by the likes of L-Vis 1990, Roman Flügel and Legowelt. For their latest release, they’ll head to the source, reissuing Roy Davis Jr.‘s Roy’s Chicago Basement Traxx.

Originally released in 1995 by Kumba Records, Clone will highlight three of the EP’s “dirty, raw, jacking” tracks: ‘Chemical Warfare’, ‘Jack Da Rhythms’ and ‘Broken Machines’. According to Clone, the original was usually pretty affordable via Discogs, but the label figured a Jack For Daze release would finally give the record its due.

Preview the EP over at the label’s site. Earlier this year, Davis Jr. released his Destroy And Rebuild LP on Mile End Records.

Don’t forget: Davis Jr. is playing 51st State and FACT’s stage at London’s Ceremony Festival later this month. For more on that, head here.
