The Corner boss has announced his first full EP for the Berlin imprint.
Entitled ‘My Block’, Anthony Parasole’s latest EP features three high-quality offerings. The first two tracks are lean, sample-driven slices of percussive techno that, according to the press release, stem from Parasole “missing the feeling of tribalism in techno today”. The third track is inspired by ’90s hip-hop “cut-up techniques” that influenced Parasole early on.
New Yorker Parasole has forged a close relationship with Ostgut Ton recently, joining the Berlin institution’s booking agency arm, also home to the likes of Function and Marcel Dettmann. Parasole also remixed Dettmann’s Emika-featuring ‘Seduction’, arriving on Ostgut Ton earlier this year. It comes as no surprise that The Corner figurehead has been unveiled as the next contributor to the esteemed label’s catalogue.
Ostut Ton will release Anthony Parasole’s ‘My Block’ EP on November 10. Check the artwork and tracklist below.
