Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs shames interviewer who left behind notes calling him "fucking boring"

Offending notes go viral after Brit DJ/producer posts them online.

An Australian music journalist has just had a very bad day at the office. The unnamed hack was interviewing Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs at Melbourne’s Listen Out festival this weekend and managed to leave behind a page of notes in which he called Orlando Higginbottom “fucking boring to interview”.

Higginbottom posted the offending page to Facebook, saying: “One of the funniest things ever to happen to me on tour!! (Don’t leave your interview notes behind kids) FYI it’s all true”. The post has had a casual 4,400 Likes since then. Burn!

The journo also noted that Higginbottom “loves soccer and living healthy lifestyle”, telling himself “so you’re going to have to be real creative with the questions”. He then went on to probe the DJ with toughies like “what do you love about touring while in Australia?” Must try harder.

Update, October 7: The magazine that sent the forgetful interviewer to interview TEED has made a public apology:

“To Orlando – we are extremely sorry for any embarrassment caused. We are actually huge fans, and the whole Blaire Magazine team who attended Listen Out reported about how amazing your live set was. We will be posting the filmed interview with TEED later today. So we’ll let you decide for yourself if he was ‘fucking boring’ or not.”

The interviewer himself – who says he’s actually an engineer, not a journalist – has told his side of the story too:

“Thinking now, I still have no idea where I left the piece of paper. The interview probably went alright, the selfie at the end was pretty funny, and after we finished he just stood up and walked out.

“I had and [sic] interview Ta-ku straight after and was on a massive high when I was done… until Sarah (Creative Director of Blaire Magazine) messaged me with a screenshot of his Facebook picture. Farkkkk… I’m pretty happy he took it so well and said ‘it’s all true’ on his post. He was an interesting character. One of those guys you wish you could hang around to just see what they are actually like.”
