YouTube reveals the most-watched music videos of 2014

Time to found out what we’ve all been goggling this year.

The main theme running through 2014’s most-watched music videos is, unsurprisingly, rear ends. From Shakira and Rihanna’s skin flick to Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj and Meghan Trainor, turns out we can’t get enough of looking at lady glutes. Who knew.

YouTube has revealed the year’s top 10 trending music videos around the world. Led by Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Horse’, which racked up over 717 million views globally, the list places Enrique Iglesias in the second spot for the Spanish-language’Bailando’, while Shakira pops up twice and Jason Derulo sneaks in at five.

Perry also topped the UK list, which featured Sigma’s risible ‘Bound 2’ remix, Kiesza’s ‘Hideaway’ and the bloody ‘#SELFIE’ song. Check the lists below and head to YouTube to see more of its year-end lists, including the most-watched non-music videos (led by a mutant giant spider dog, of course). [via Exclaim]
