The Brooklyn producer teases more of the silty, persistent sounds that define his upcoming EP, Failed Devotee.
Brooklyn producer Nick Klein has explored the grimmer side of techno with his sluggish beats and decayed synths for a few years now through cassette releases for various labels. Next week will see the 12″ release of Klein’s new Failed Devotee EP on Unknown Precept, but for now you can listen to the second track ‘Mobility Effort’. With it’s gritty lo-fi production and churning pulse it sounds almost like if R.I.P-era Actress decided to soundtrack a giallo film.
Listen to ‘Mobility Effort’ below and grab Failed Devotee on March 4.
