The producer has shared a lengthy visual to accompany his new cassette release.
DFA-affiliated producer Gavin Russom has just released a new EP, recorded under the moniker of Hail Of Arrows. The self-titled EP is available as a double cassette via the London-based Ecstatic Recordings imprint.
Speaking about the new project, Russom said: “Conceptually, Hail Of Arrows was inspired by living in far uptown Manhattan (a wilder part of the city in many ways) and this item from the Parks Department about falcons resettling in the urban environment, especially atop the nearby George Washington Bridge. This idea gelled in my mind with the ideas most elegantly captured in the 1981 film Wolfen, and led me to create these four sonic visualisations.”
Russom has shared an 18-minute visual accompaniment for the track ‘Forming Alliances Among Animals, Protecting The Land’, which is taken from the EP.
