All the good vinyl news isn’t limited to the UK.

Just in time for Record Store Day, Nielsen has released new data on U.S. vinyl sales, a sector that has grown an astounding 260% since 2009. After 2014 saw vinyl sales come in at 9.2 million, up from 2013’s 6.1 million, sales in the first quarter of 2015 have seen a 53% increase. The uptick is being buoyed by the sales of catalog albums, which Nielsen defines as albums released at least 18 months prior. As for current releases, those sales are up 37% this quarter, as well.

Check out Nielsen’s data via the below charts. The biggest sellers of the first half of the decade have been classic albums by the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Miles Davis and Bob Marley, but also recent offerings by rock and folk acts Mumford & Sons, Bon Iver, Jack White, Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys and Lana Del Rey (the lone female artist in the bunch).
