Several video game music classics are imagined as ambient sleep music.

Recently the label Scarlet Moon Records announced a second volume to their series Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies which invites the Japanese group Gentle Love (saxophonist Norihiko Hibino of Metal Gear Solid‘s score and pianist Ayaki) to create ambient interpretations of beloved video game songs. For this one they have created covers of a number of iconic tunes from multiple generations of videogames ranging from ‘The Moon’ from the NES’ DuckTales to more recent compositions like a selection from the score to Skyrim.

Pick it up here and listen to a sample of ‘The Moon’ below.
